10-Year Aid Plan for Ukraine?

(5MinNewsBreak.com) – Despite the staggering deficit he has created, Joe Biden is doubling down on his efforts to keep wasting taxpayer money by developing a plan to provide consistent aid to Ukraine over the next decade.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a televised address, this agreement aims to cover aspects such as military support, collaborative weapons manufacturing and extended financial and political assistance.

While other nations have inked similar agreements with Ukraine, negotiations with the U.S. are still in progress, as confirmed by a National Security Council spokesperson.

“Also, our teams, Ukraine and the United States, are currently working on a bilateral security agreement, and we are already working on a specific text,” Zelenskyy said. “Our goal is to make this agreement the strongest of all. We are discussing the specific foundations of our security and cooperation.”

“We are also working on fixing specific levels of support for this year and for the next ten years, including armed support, financial, political, and joint arms production,” he continued.

Zelenskyy added, “The agreement should be truly exemplary and reflect the strength of American leadership. I am grateful to both our team and the team of the American side for the progress in drafting the agreement.”

The United States has been a major Ukraine supporter by providing over $50 billion in military aid since the Russian invasion in February 2022.

Additionally, according to data from the Kiel Institute, the U.S. offered $23 billion in economic support and $2.7 billion in humanitarian assistance up to the end of February.

In discussions with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Zelenskyy urged for Patriot missile systems “as soon as possible.”

Recently, Ukraine’s military situation has become increasingly challenging, with three eastern villages lost to Russian forces, as reported by Col. Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi.

He noted that Russian troops are gathered heavily west of occupied Maryinka and northwest of Avdiivka, a strategic town Russia captured after a drawn-out conflict.

With the recent authorization of $61 billion in U.S. aid, Ukraine expects that renewed support will strengthen its military capabilities and help regain strategic positions.

In a previous address, Zelenskyy stated, “And a long-term agreement — we will work together so that Ukraine produces the necessary weapons together with the United States. Co-production in the defense (sector) with the United States is a historic thing.”
