(5MinNewsBreak.com) – As the 2024 election approaches, CNN Senior Data Reporter Harry Enten has dropped a huge bombshell: it is the “tightest election” he has ever seen.
Known for his number-crunching prowess, Enten has found himself in uncharted territory for the very first time.
In a startling admission, Enten confessed he has “no idea” what will happen in the presidential showdown between GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
The uncertainty from a typically confident analyst speaks volumes about the make-or-break nature of this election.
Trump’s supporters have reason to be slightly optimistic. According to RealClear Polling averages, the former president is leading in five of seven crucial swing states.
This early advantage has been seen as a testament to the enduring strength of the MAGA movement and the American people’s desire for a return to prosperity and security.
Meanwhile, Harris is barely hanging on in Wisconsin and Michigan, with margins less than 0.5%.
These razor-thin leads in traditionally blue states suggest a huge shift in the political landscape, with voters increasingly skeptical of the Democrats’ liberal policies.
“I think what stood out to me is that the races haven’t moved at all, not one iota. You go back to August, the numbers in all three states look exactly the same as they do now,” Enten said.
“And you have to ask yourself, when these campaigns are spending all this gosh darn money on the air, especially in Pennsylvania, and it’s just a dead heat,” he added.
The battleground state of Pennsylvania has become a focal point, with both campaigns pouring over $500 million into advertising.
This astounding figure underscores the critical importance of the Keystone State’s 19 electoral votes.
Trump slightly leads with 0.8% in Pennsylvania polls and has consistent leads or ties when third-party candidates are factored in.
This suggests that his message is resonating with voters who feel left behind by the Harris-Biden agenda.
Additionally, Trump’s campaign strategy has capitalized on Joe Biden’s most recent gaffe as the lame-duck Democrat took to the campaign trail to call Trump supporters “garbage.”
In turn, Harris’ attempts to distance herself from these comments have fallen flat, further destroying her credibility with voters.
“So now as we stand less than a week from the election, I continuously say Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, and I also continuously say, I have no idea what the heck is going to happen,” Enten said.
“And people call me a waffler for that, but I’m just being honest with folks. I have no idea. This is the tightest election I’ve ever seen,” he concluded.
