Biden Abandons Americans in Haiti?!

( – Joe Biden has done it again – his administration has once again left Americans stranded in a violent foreign conflict zone to themselves, as Americans stuck in Haiti amid massive gang warfare and government collapse have been told to reach the extraction point on their own.

The Biden administration is making preparations to organize at least one flight for evacuation purposes from Haiti, an initiative announced Sunday by the US State Department against the backdrop of escalating violence in the Caribbean nation, The Daily Caller reports.

At the same time, the government madе it clear that those Americans who can find their way to the designated evacuation site do so at their own peril.

Given the closure of the airport in Port-au-Prince, the epicenter of the most severe clashes, as well as Haiti’s capital and its most populous city, the operation aims to airlift Americans from Cap-Haitien. The two cities are 125 miles away, a five-hour drive.

The US government plan hinges on the ability of these individuals to reach Cap-Haitien independently and on time.

“The airport in Cap-Haïtien has opened periodically for departing flights, although availability is very limited.  The airport in Port-au-Prince remains closed.  We are arranging a charter flight for U.S. citizens from Cap-Haitien to the United States, assuming the security situation in Cap-Haitien remains stable,” the State Department said in a release.

“The overland trip from Port-au-Prince to Cap Haitien is dangerous.  We recommend you consider the Cap-Haitien flight only if you believe you can reach Cap-Haitien airport safely.  We cannot provide overland travel from other parts of Haiti to Cap-Haitien,” the statement informed further.

It reiterated the same point in the concluding paragraph of the release, as follows:

“The security situation in Haiti is unpredictable and dangerous.  Travel within Haiti is conducted at your own risk.  The U.S. government cannot guarantee your safety traveling to airports, borders, or during any onward travel.  You should consider your personal security situation before traveling anywhere in Haiti. Only attempt to depart Haiti or travel within Haiti if you believe it is safe for you to do so.”

Eligibility for this flight is strictly limited to American citizens holding valid U.S. passports.

Moreover, interested parties are required to complete a form and await further instructions on the evacuation process.

Additionally, the State Department stipulated that passengers must agree to repay the U.S. government for the flight cost by signing a promissory note.

The exact number of Americans caught in Haiti’s crisis and their specific locations remain uncertain.
