Clinton Adviser Slams ‘Unacceptable’ Kamala (Video)

(5MinNewsBreak.com) – In a new bout of Democrat “friendly fire” targeting Kamala Harris, a former Bill Clinton adviser has slammed the left’s presidential nominee as “unacceptable” due to her evasion of the media and her decision to take part in only a single debate with her GOP opponent Donald Trump.

Mark Penn, who previously advised Bill Clinton, labeled Harris’s actions as a threat to democratic principles.

Since initiating her campaign in July, Harris has not participated in any interviews or press conferences, and her campaign’s website lacks a policy section, offering only a debate appearance on September 10th on ABC News.

During his appearance on “America’s Newsroom,” Penn argued that such a strategy could result in an electorate that is poorly informed, thus undermining the foundational democratic processes of the presidential election.

“I don’t know what kind of interview people do in these last couple of days here that’s going to be meaningful and set up going into the Labor Day weekend,” Penn remarked, cited by The Daily Caller.

“I suppose everything gets pushed online, but look, I think it’s unacceptable for candidates to go this period. In my book, there should be three presidential debates, not one. There should be position papers, not a donate page on your website. And you should be before the press every two or three days because if voters are not informed, then it’s not a democracy with real votes,” the former Clinton adviser elaborated.

After President Joe Biden exited the race and endorsed her in July, Harris secured the Democratic nomination, despite having minimal support from primary voters.

Radio personality Charlamagne Tha God commented on Monday that Harris faces heightened scrutiny due to the unusual circumstances of her nomination and the compressed timeline of the presidential campaign.

“She didn’t give an interview for three weeks. You know why everybody made that such a big deal? Because she only had 90-plus days to win,” Charlamagne explained.

“Now she got 70-plus days to win. Because of the nature of her campaign and how she became the nominee, that’s why she’s going to get even more scrutiny,” he added.

Chris Cuomo, host on NewsNation, shared during a Thursday podcast that Harris’s avoidance of the press is indicative of perceived vulnerabilities, contrasting her with past Democratic presidential nominees.

“They don’t want to put her in front of the media, but that teaches us something also. You don’t want to put her in front of the media because you think there’s risk in that,” Cuomo noted.
