College Firebombed

(5MinNewsBreak.com) – With anti-Israel radicals claiming responsibility for each event, the University of California Berkeley recently faced its third suspected terrorist incident in two weeks.

The initial attack was labeled a “firebombing” of a campus police vehicle on June 2, which various groups acknowledged on social media.

They cited it as retaliation against the UC Police Department’s actions against students at other campuses, possibly referring to incidents at UCLA and UC Santa Cruz.

A subsequent event occurred when an incendiary device was deployed at a Berkeley building that The Daily Californian identified as Koshland Hall.

This device caused a fire that spread to nearby trees and bushes. A post from “student intifada” on Indybay.org shows protestors do not care about the buildings they attack.

They stated, “NOT SURE WHAT BUILDING IT EVEN WAS,” and “HONESTLY DONT [sic] REALLY CARE. EVERY SINGLE BUILDING ON THE UC BERKELEY CAMPUS DESERVES TO BE INCINERATED FOLLOWING THE UC SYSTEM’S TREATMENT OF STUDENT PROTESTORS.”

The post concluded with a demand for the UC system to “divest from Israel or face our wrath of revenge.”

The most recent act occurred on June 16 at the Dwinelle Annex construction site that was intended for new campus housing.

This project has been controversial as it is located at “People’s Park,” a site historically significant to the community and known for providing refuge to homeless individuals.

According to the San Francisco Standard, police arrested 34-year-old Northwestern University PhD student Casey Goonan, suspected of all three arson attacks.

Goonan, who is studying African American studies and identifies as a scholar-activist, lives with his parents in a $1.1 million house.

He has previously described the U.S. as a “’god-awful fascist hell hole’” and criticized its social injustices.

Currently facing a vandalism charge in San Francisco, Goonan’s lawyer has declared that the arson investigation is politically motivated and intends to “aggressively fight” any forthcoming charges. Goonan’s bail is set at $1 million.

A recent Indybay.org post by “marilyn’s daughters” claimed the latest fire was “done in retaliation for u.c.pd’s violent assaults on vulnerable student demonstrators and to punish the university of kkkalifornia system for supporting the genocidal zionist-Israel entity.”

This and other posts tied these actions to “Operation Campus Flood,” which suggests a coordinated series of liberal anti-Israel protests against universities.
