DefSec: ‘Move Them to Guantánamo Bay’

(5MinNewsBreak.com) – America just scored a massive win after President Donald Trump revealed his bombshell plan to tackle the immigration crisis that Democrats created.

In a groundbreaking move, the Trump administration has announced plans to expand Guantánamo Bay to house up to 30,000 of the “worst criminal illegal aliens” threatening the nation.

This decisive step seeks to secure borders and keep American families safe from the dangers of illegal immigration.

President Trump signed a memo directing the Pentagon and Department of Homeland Security to prepare for this massive expansion of the Migrant Operations Center at Naval Station Guantánamo Bay.

This facility will serve as a detention center for high-priority criminal aliens who have entered the United States illegally and committed serious crimes against American citizens.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth strongly supports the plan, stating, “Move them off to Guantánamo Bay, where they can be safely maintained until they are deported to their final location, their country of origin.”

This approach ensures that these dangerous criminals are kept far from American communities while awaiting deportation.

President Trump declared in the executive order:

“I hereby direct the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of Homeland Security to take all appropriate actions to expand the Migrant Operations Center at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay to full capacity to provide additional detention space for high-priority criminal aliens unlawfully present in the United States.”

The expansion of Guantánamo Bay for this purpose is a clear message that the Trump administration is serious about cracking down on illegal immigration and protecting American lives.

This move comes in the wake of the tragic murder of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student who an illegal alien from Venezuela killed in Georgia.

“Today, I’m also signing an executive order to instruct the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to begin preparing the 30,000-person migrant facility at Guantanamo Bay. Most people don’t even know about it,” Trump announced during the signing ceremony for the Laken Riley Act.

The Laken Riley Act mandates the detention and potential deportation of non-citizens unlawfully in the U.S. who are arrested or charged with certain crimes.

Both this legislation and the Guantánamo Bay expansion showcase the Trump administration’s commitment to putting American safety first.

Unsurprisingly, critics have voiced concerns about the plan, calling it “wasteful and cruel.”

However, these detractors fail to acknowledge the very real threat posed by criminal aliens to law-abiding American citizens.

The safety and security of the nation must take precedence over the comfort of those who have violated laws and endangered communities.

“We have 30,000 beds in Guantanamo to detain the worst criminal illegal aliens threatening the American people,” Trump explained.

“Some of them are so bad we don’t even trust the countries to hold them, because we don’t want them coming back, so we’re going to send them out to Guantanamo,” he added.

While some Pentagon officials were initially surprised by the announcement, the Trump administration is moving forward with determination.

The expanded facility will be separate from the existing high-security military prison and will be run by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), ensuring that these criminal aliens are handled appropriately and efficiently.
