Elon Musk: ‘Go F— Yourself’

(5MinNewsBreak.com) – In a fiery exchange, tech billionaire Elon Musk responded with a blunt “Go f— yourself” to companies pulling advertisements from X (FKA Twitter), after he seemingly endorsed an antisemitic remark. Musk’s strong retort came during an interview at The New York Times Dealbook Summit in response to Disney CEO Bob Iger explaining their decision to halt advertising on the platform.

“Don’t advertise. If someone is going to try and blackmail me with advertising? Blackmail me with money? Go f— yourself,” Musk declared, generating both laughs and attention from the audience.

This incident follows Musk’s recent controversy when he appeared to endorse an antisemitic conspiracy theory, leading to widespread criticism. Media Matters for America reported finding ads from major companies next to posts celebrating Hitler on the platform, prompting Disney, Apple, and others to suspend ad spending. Musk, in response, is suing Media Matters, labeling the report a “fraudulent attack.”

The New York Times estimates X could lose $75 million in ad revenue by the year-end. Musk’s acquisition of X last year brought controversial changes, including easing content moderation policies, leading to increased concerns about hate speech and misinformation.

Musk’s tensions with advertisers began a year ago, with top advertisers halting activity shortly after his purchase. Despite the turmoil, Musk, accompanied by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, visited Israel, drawing criticism given Musk’s controversial post. Some, including Esther Solomon, editor-in-chief of Haaretz, labeled Musk a “blatant antisemite and publisher of antisemitism.”

Amid the Israel-Hamas conflict, Musk’s visit faced backlash, aligning with an uptick in antisemitic incidents reported in the U.S. and Europe. The situation remains tense as Musk’s unfiltered remarks continue to make waves in the political and business spheres.
