(5MinNewsBreak.com) – Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has dropped a massive bombshell on those arriving in the state: you will be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted if need be.
Specifically, Uthmeier launched a criminal probe into controversial influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate for having alarming charges in Romania.
“Based on a thorough review of the evidence, I’ve directed the Office of Statewide Prosecution to execute search warrants and issue subpoenas in the now-active criminal investigation into the Tate brothers,” said Uthmeier.
“These guys have themselves publicly admitted to participating in what very much appears to be soliciting, trafficking, preying upon women around the world,” he explained.
The investigation involves search warrants and subpoenas aimed at determining if the brothers’ conduct violates Florida laws that protect women and children from exploitation.
The Tate brothers landed in Fort Lauderdale after Romanian prosecutors unexpectedly lifted their travel restrictions.
Their arrival blindsided Florida officials, who were not notified or involved in the decision to allow the controversial figures into the state.
Uthmeier made the state’s position crystal clear when he declared, “Florida has zero tolerance for human trafficking and violence against women. If any of these alleged crimes trigger Florida jurisdiction, we will hold them accountable.”
The brothers face serious charges in Romania including r**e, sex with a minor, human trafficking, and money laundering.
Despite these pending charges, they were allowed to return to the United States, sparking outrage among state officials committed to protecting victims of exploitation.
Governor Ron DeSantis has publicly stated that the Tates are not welcome in Florida, emphasizing that the state had “no involvement” in their return to American soil.
DeSantis clarified that their entry was a federal matter but made it clear that Florida would investigate any potential criminal activity within state jurisdiction.
Andrew Tate, a former professional kickboxer who has been banned from multiple social media platforms for hate speech, has pushed back against Florida’s stance.
“We’ve no criminal record anywhere on the planet ever,” he claimed, while suggesting on a podcast that DeSantis was simply caving to media pressure.
The investigation comes at a time of tension between mainstream conservatives and more extreme provocateurs.
While the Tates have positioned themselves as Trump supporters, their legal troubles and controversial statements about women have made them unwelcome even in conservative-led Florida.
Critics note that the Tates’ departure from Romania suspiciously followed interest in their case from a Trump administration official at the Munich Security Conference.
However, Florida officials are making it abundantly clear that regardless of political alignments, alleged crimes against women will not be tolerated in the Sunshine State.
It remains unclear how long the brothers plan to stay in Florida, but with search warrants and subpoenas now in play, their legal troubles have followed them across the Atlantic.
