Former CIA Chief Slams Trump

( – In new evidence how much the left dreads Donald Trump’s return to the White House, former CIA Director John Brennan, who in the past promoted the “Trump – Russia” hoax, has blasted the former president as not qualified for the top job of the US executive branch.

Former CIA Director John Brennan leveled criticism at former President Trump in a conversation with a Belgian state broadcaster that was made public earlier this week, The Hill reports.

Brennan argued that Trump lacks the necessary qualifications to manage national security issues effectively.

“I think he didn’t believe what we were telling him,” Brennan remarked during his interview with RTBF.

He was referring to a national security briefing with Trump prior to the latter’s 2017 inauguration.

“And he was especially trying to find out how we knew what we knew about Russian interference in the election,” Brennan added.

“According to me, he was not qualified at the time, and he is not qualified today. We could see in particular that he did not understand the importance of the United States’s relations with our foreign allies and partners. He has little recognition for the transatlantic relationship, for NATO,” the former CIA chief said regarding the US-led military alliance of 32 nations.

During the same interview, Brennan voiced his concerns about Trump’s lack of support for Ukraine in its war defending itself from Putin’s Russia.

He suggested that Trump could sabotage Ukraine in numerous ways, such as instructing American intelligence not to assist their Ukrainian counterparts or halting financial and military support.

“And that would give Vladimir Putin the green light to try to almost swallow up Ukraine,” Brennan stated.

“And unfortunately, I think it will encourage [Russian President Vladimir Putin] to look hungrily toward the rest of Europe,” he added.

Brennan, who led the CIA during former President Obama’s tenure, frequently criticizes Trump, Obama’s successor.

Following the 2020 presidential election, Brennan announced his intention to “ignore Trump” and to “leave his fate to our judicial system, his infamy to history, [and] his legacy to a trash heap.”

“For four years, I spoke out vigorously against Donald Trump’s craven dishonesty, corrupt pursuit of personal interests, & trampling of our democratic principles. After serving over three decades in national security, I felt compelled to condemn Trump’s depravity & incompetence,” Brennan declared in a series of tweets.
