In what has been described as a huge bust operation, a powerful Gulf Cartel commander operating freely on American soil has finally been captured in Texas.
Fabian Silva Aguirre, known by his cartel alias “Comandante Pony,” was arrested during a traffic stop near Brownsville after illegally re-entering the United States.
The dangerous criminal had been coordinating drug and human smuggling operations in a region overwhelmed by Joe Biden’s border crisis.
Border Patrol agents from the Rio Grande Valley Sector Anti-Smuggling Unit, working alongside the Cameron County Constables Precinct 2 Office, apprehended the high-ranking cartel operative.
