After Minnesota Governor Tim Walz gleefully celebrated Tesla’s plummeting stock price, Elon Musk lashed out at Kamala Harris’ failed sidekick by calling him a “huge jerk” and “creep.”
Walz, whose state pension fund owns 1.8 million Tesla shares, bragged about watching Tesla stock drop while speaking at a Wisconsin event.
During a recent interview, Musk did not hide his disgust for Walz’ behavior, which seemed to take pleasure in Americans losing jobs and retirement savings.
“I mean you have Tim Walz, who’s a huge jerk, you know running around on stage with the Tesla stock price, where the stock price had gone in half. And he was overjoyed. What an evil thing to do, what a creep, what a jerk. Like who derives joy from that?” Musk said.
The confrontation began when Walz boasted to an audience about adding Tesla to his iPhone stock app to watch it fall.
“On the iPhone, they’ve got that little stock app. I added Tesla to it to give me a little boost during the day — $225 and dropping,” Walz said.
After facing backlash, the governor attempted to dismiss his comments by claiming, “I was making a joke. These people have no sense of humor.”
The hypocrisy of Walz’s celebration is particularly shocking considering Minnesota’s own state pension fund reportedly owns approximately 1.8 million shares of Tesla stock.
Essentially, Walz was celebrating the devaluation of his own constituents’ retirement security, demonstrating a disturbing willingness to put partisan politics above the financial well-being of Minnesotans.
Businessman Kevin O’Leary did not mince words when commenting on Walz’s remarks, calling them “beyond stupid.”
Meanwhile, Tesla has faced increasing attacks from the left, with activists calling for boycotts and owners returning vehicles simply because Musk has aligned himself with the Trump administration.
Even more disturbing is the surge in physical attacks against Tesla properties.
“Think it would help sales if dealerships are being firebombed? Of course not. And Tesla customers are being intimidated all over the country and all over Europe. Does that help Tesla?” Musk pointed out.
He referenced the alarming increase in vandalism, including Molotov cocktail attacks, shootings, and arson targeting Tesla dealerships, particularly in left-leaning cities like Portland and Seattle.
The Trump administration has taken these attacks seriously, launching investigations into what it has labeled as “domestic terrorism” against Tesla.
In a show of solidarity, President Donald Trump even purchased a Tesla during a White House ceremony, demonstrating his support for American manufacturing.
Despite serving as the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chief, Musk maintains his role is not about personal gain.
“It’s actually disadvantageous for me to be in the government, not advantageous,” he explained.
The tech mogul noted that his government position limits his ability to lobby for policies that might benefit his companies.
Musk’s team has already implemented significant improvements to government financial systems under President Trump’s cost-cutting initiatives.
These include a mandatory code system for government payments to enhance transparency and accountability in spending.
While working to make America’s government more efficient, Musk has emphasized the importance of American strength in the world, describing it as “the central pillar of Western civilization.”
