(5MinNewsBreak.com) – Betting it all on the best option for the country, former Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. recently stressed that the phrase “Make America Great Again” should be seen in a positive light.
Kennedy offered his interpretation in a post on X: “‘Make America Great Again’ recalls a nation brimming with vitality, with a can-do spirit, with hope and a belief in itself.”
“It was an America that was beginning to confront its darker shadows, could acknowledge the injustice in its past and present, yet at the same time could celebrate its successes,” Kennedy wrote.
“It was a nation of broad prosperity, the world’s most vibrant middle class, and a idealistic belief (though not consistently applied) in freedom, justice, and democracy,” he added.
“It was a nation that led the world in innovation, productivity, and technology. And it was the healthiest country in the world,” he explained.
This endorsement came shortly after Kennedy ended his own independent presidential campaign last Friday, backing GOP nominee Donald Trump instead.
Pollsters from Trump’s team have noted a shift in Kennedy’s base, with many now supporting the former president.
Kennedy previously showed modest polling numbers in key states like Pennsylvania and Ohio.
During conversations with Trump, Kennedy discussed forming a “unity government” to tackle key issues like ending the war in Ukraine, fighting media censorship and bettering children’s health.
He hinted at more announcements about this unity government, stating on another X post, “This is only the beginning. Wait till you see the next additions to President Trump’s Unity Government.”
Kennedy also appeared on “Fox News Sunday,” where he justified his endorsement of Trump despite past disagreements.
He said that Americans were capable of holding different viewpoints but still be able to collaborate on common goals.
Furthermore, he criticized the Democrat National Committee (DNC) for its legal challenges against him and Trump and accused them of orchestrating a “sham primary.”
This year’s DNC has been seen as a coronation-style event for Kamala Harris, who faced no serious challenges after Joe Biden anointed her as his successor.
