Sea Rescue; 25 Saved

( – In a harrowing turn of events, a distress call off thе coast of Ensenada, Mexico, prompted a Carnival Cruise Line ship to rescue 25 individuals, including three children.

As reported by FOX 5/KUSI, the individuals had been stranded at sea, which caused the U.S. Coast Guard to issue an urgent plea for assistance after an Air Force C-130 located the boat.

The boat had been recently “reported overduе” after it went missing and the subsequent efforts to locate it yielded no results.

Originally en route from Long Beach, California, to Ensenada, the 2,984-passenger cruise ship Carnival Radiance deviated from its path to perform the rescue.

According to an official statement from Carnival, “the rescue was quickly completed, with all 25 people, including three children, stranded on the boat safely welcomed onto Carnival Radiance.”

Despite the unforeseen event, Carnival assured passengers that the itinerary of their three-day cruise would not be affected.

The company highlighted that those rescued were provided with essential care including food, water and medical services, and were later transferred back to the Coast Guard.

This act of maritime aid is part of a pattern of rescues involving Carnival ships.

In another recent incident, a Carnival vessel rescued 28 Cuban nationals in the Caribbean after they were spotted signaling for help.

Similarly, a Celebrity Cruises ship saved a small vessel adrift between Mexico and Cuba whilе on a trip from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to various Caribbean destinations.
