(5MinNewsBreak.com) – President Donald Trump has ended the taxpayer-funded security that kept Joe Biden’s children safe after it was revealed that Hunter Biden abused the privilege.
The decisive action came after President Trump learned Hunter had 18 agents with him while vacationing in South Africa.
When first hearing about the situation, the president said, “I’m going to take a look at that,” demonstrating his commitment to addressing government waste.
The termination means America’s hardworking taxpayers will no longer foot the bill for the Biden children’s extensive security details.
President Trump made the announcement on Truth Social after a reporter asked him about Hunter Biden’s Secret Service detail.
Previously unaware of the extensive protection, the president acted swiftly to address what many Americans view as government waste.
“Hunter Biden has had Secret Service protection for an extended period of time, all paid for by the United States Taxpayer,” President Trump stated in his announcement.
He added, “Please be advised that, effective immediately, Hunter Biden will no longer receive Secret Service protection. Likewise, Ashley Biden who has 13 agents will be taken off the list.”
The revelation that Hunter Biden had 18 agents assigned to him while Ashley Biden had 13 agents raised serious questions about the appropriate use of federal resources.
Under normal protocols, protection for children of former presidents over the age of 16 typically ends when their parent leaves office.
Both President Trump and Biden had extended Secret Service protection for their adult children for six months after leaving office.
When asked about the situation during a press event, the president responded, “Well, we have done that with many. I would say if there are 18 with Hunter Biden, that will be something I’ll look at this afternoon.”
President Trump noted that Hunter Biden was currently vacationing in South Africa, a country he described as having questionable human rights practices.
He also pointed out that South Africa has been removed from the list of countries receiving U.S. economic and financial assistance.
This has raised further questions about why American taxpayers were funding protection for the president’s son in that location.
Many conservatives have long questioned why Americans should pay for Hunter Biden’s protection while he travels internationally, especially given his controversial past.
While former presidents and their spouses receive lifelong Secret Service protection, President Trump’s decision aligns with standard protocols regarding adult children of former presidents.
