(5MinNewsBreak.com) – In a shocking development, a federal appeals court upheld a $5 million verdict against President-elect Donald Trump in the E. Jean Carroll case.
The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan rejected Trump’s appeal of the verdict in favor of Carroll, a writer who made claims of sexual abuse against Trump.
Trump has consistently denied knowing Carroll and maintains that her allegations are nothing more than a fabrication for publicity.
For many, the fact that the jury did not find Trump guilty of rape but still awarded Carroll millions raised serious doubts about the fairness of the entire proceedings.
Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung stated:
“The American People have re-elected President Trump with an overwhelming mandate, and they demand an immediate end to the political weaponization of our justice system and a swift dismissal of all of the Witch Hunts, including the Democrat-funded Carroll Hoax, which will continue to be appealed.”
The court’s ruling cited the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape as evidence of a pattern of behavior despite its irrelevance to Carroll’s specific allegations.
The court also decided to allow testimony from other women accusing Trump of misconduct despite lacking direct relevance to Carroll’s claims.
This tactic was seemingly designed to paint Trump in a negative light rather than seek the truth.
It is worth noting that Trump did not testify or present a defense case, instead focusing on appealing Judge Lewis Kaplan’s alleged errors.
As Trump prepares to retake office, it is clear that the establishment will stop at nothing to hinder his agenda.
Nonetheless, the fight is far from over. Trump’s legal team is considering an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, where they hope justice will prevail.
