Trump Opponent Attacks Tulsi Gabbard

(5MinNewsBreak.com) – Dispelling any notion of support for President-elect Donald Trump’s choices, Nikki Haley blasted Tulsi Gabbard’s nomination for Director of National Intelligence.

During her SiriusXM broadcast, Haley used her criticism to raise concerns about national security by painting Gabbard as a sympathizer of America’s adversaries.

The former U.N. Ambassador and presidential candidate also dived into Gabbard’s past foreign policy stances.

She accused the former Democrat congresswoman of aligning with Russia, Iran, China and Syria.

Haley stated:

“She opposed ending the Iran nuclear deal. She opposed sanctions on Iran. She opposed designating the Iran military as terrorists who say death to America every single day. She said that Donald Trump turned the U.S. into Saudi Arabia’s prostitute. This is going to be the future head of our national intelligence…[DNI is] not a place for a Russian, Iranian, Syrian, Chinese sympathizer.”

Trump’s nomination of Gabbard comes after she endorsed his campaign and switched to the Republican Party.

One of the most controversial points in Haley’s criticism was Gabbard’s 2017 meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

This meeting happened amid allegations that Assad used chemical weapons against his own people.

“She said she was skeptical that he was behind the chemical weapons attacks. Now, this to me is disgusting because Cheney, you and I were at the United Nations when Assad did those chemical attacks on those children,” Haley expressed.

“And you can go back and look at a speech I gave holding up pictures of dead children who had been killed by chemical attacks…For her to say that Assad was not behind that. Literally, everything she said about that, were Russian talking points,” she added.

Haley’s criticism extended beyond Gabbard’s apparent sympathies for authoritarian regimes.

She pointed out Gabbard’s opposition to crucial national security measures, including sanctions on Iran and the designation of Iran’s military as a terrorist organization.

According to Haley, these positions reflect a dangerous disagreement with America’s security interests.

In light of these revelations, Haley has called on Republican senators to reject Gabbard’s nomination.

The former U.N. Ambassador argues that the role of Director of National Intelligence is too critical to be entrusted to someone with questionable loyalties and a track record of defending America’s adversaries.
