(5MinNewsBreak.com) – Following his America First Agenda, President Trump will implement 25% tariffs on goods imported from Mexico and Canada starting this upcoming Tuesday, along with an additional 10% tariff on Chinese imports.

The decisive move targets countries that have failed to stop illegal immigration and drug trafficking into the United States, particularly the deadly fentanyl crisis that has devastated American communities.
Trump announced the tariffs through his Truth Social platform, making it clear he is tackling issues the Biden Administration has failed to address.
The move fulfills one of his key campaign promises to hold foreign nations accountable for their role in America’s border crisis and drug epidemic.
“We cannot allow this scourge to continue to harm the USA, and therefore, until it stops, or is seriously limited, the proposed TARIFFS scheduled to go into effect on MARCH FOURTH will, indeed, go into effect, as scheduled,” Trump declared.

The tariffs are being implemented under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) in response to the administration’s officially declared national emergency.
The White House fact sheet details how Mexican drug cartels have formed disturbing alliances with the Mexican government while Chinese officials have failed to control precursor chemicals used in fentanyl production.
The 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada, along with the additional 10% on Chinese goods (bringing total tariffs on Chinese products to 20%), are designed to leverage America’s economic strength to force these nations to crack down on the drugs and illegal immigration flowing across our borders.
Additionally, global 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum imports will begin on March 12, with reciprocal tariffs on major trading partners planned for April 2.
These tariffs are part of Trump’s broader America First economic strategy, which aims to restore American manufacturing while generating revenue to address the budget deficit.
The president has emphasized that these tariffs will strengthen America’s financial position, stating, “Our country will be extremely liquid and rich again.”
Mexican drug cartels have established operations throughout North America, with an alarming increase in cartel-operated drug synthesis labs now operating in Canada.
The administration’s fact sheet highlighted that trade represents a smaller portion of America’s GDP compared to Canada, Mexico, and China, giving the U.S. significant leverage in these negotiations.
While some Wall Street analysts have expressed concern about market reactions to the tariffs, President Trump has consistently maintained that strong borders and fair trade deals are essential to American prosperity and security.
The tariffs represent a firm stand against nations that have taken advantage of American markets while undermining national security through drug trafficking and open borders.
