(5MinNewsBreak.com) – Rejecting Joe Biden’s attempts to throw America into an unwanted scenario before the year’s end, House Speaker Mike Johnson had a single word for the lame-duck Democrat: no.
Specifically, Johnson shot down Biden’s Ukraine aid plea, so President-elect Donald Trump has a wider margin to negotiate.

The Speaker has decided to stop the outgoing administration’s reckless spending of taxpayer dollars.
“House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is standing firm against the demands of lame-duck President Joe Biden,” noted conservative commentator Sarah Arnold.
Johnson’s stance comes at a critical time. Since 2022, the U.S. has already poured over $75 billion in military assistance and at least $20 billion in economic aid into Ukraine.
Republican lawmakers have argued that starting in 2025, Washington will focus on U.S. domestic issues like border security and infrastructure rather than bankrolling a foreign war effort.
Johnson declared:
“There are developments by the hour in Ukraine, I think as we predicted and as I said to all of you weeks before the election, if Donald Trump is elected, it will change the dynamic of the Russian war on Ukraine. So, it is not the place of Joe Biden to make that decision. Now, we have a newly elected president, and we are going to wait and take the new commander-in-chief’s direction on all of that.”
With his statement, the Speaker sent a clear message to the international community: America will no longer be the world’s piggy bank.
As citizens look ahead to Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, it is clear that a new era of American leadership is dawning.
