(5MinNewsBreak.com) – In a shocking turn of events, Tesla’s much-hyped Cybertruck faces its sixth recall this year, affecting over 2,400 vehicles.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently published the recall that targets Cybertrucks manufactured between November 6, 2023, and July 30, 2024.
The latest defect could cause sudden power loss and increase crash risks. The problem stems from faulty metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors in the drive inverter.
The issue may prevent using the accelerator pedal, potentially leaving drivers stranded or in danger on the road.
While Tesla asserts no collisions, fatalities or injuries have been reported in connection with the defect, the frequency of recalls is alarming.
This year alone, the company has recalled over 27,000 trucks for a rearview camera issue and addressed faulty windshield wipers, loose trunk bed trim and problematic accelerator pads.
As part of its efforts to address the reasons behind the recall, Tesla offered to replace the affected parts free of charge starting December 9.
Despite these ongoing issues, Tesla’s stock has surged following President-elect Donald Trump’s remarkable election win.
This financial boost comes as Tesla CEO Elon Musk has shown increasing support for the Trump administration.
Musk donated millions to a super PAC backing Trump and has been tapped for a leadership position within the federal government.
