LATE BREAKING: In a major win for Americans, the House narrowly passed President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” in a nail-biting vote.

Despite outsized fear-mongering from Democrats, the comprehensive legislation passed in a 215-214 vote and advances key MAGA priorities.

These include extending the 2017 tax cuts, increasing border security funding, and rolling back wasteful green energy incentives.

Speaker Mike Johnson successfully navigated the bill through the House after intensive negotiations with both moderate and conservative Republicans.

The 1,000-page legislation faced resistance from GOP representatives Thomas Massie and Warren Davidson, while Freedom Caucus chairman Andy Harris voted present.

Johnson’s leadership and President Trump’s personal involvement proved crucial in securing the razor-thin margin needed for passage.

The bill directly fulfills the president’s promises to the American people, tackling issues at the core of the MAGA agenda.

It allocates $12 billion for border security, extends the 2017 tax cuts that benefited middle-class families, and implements long-overdue Medicaid work requirements.

The legislation also removes the tax on silencers by amending the National Firearms Act, a win for Second Amendment supporters.

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise emphasized the bill’s importance in a powerful appeal to his colleagues before the vote.

“If you vote no, you’re voting against American energy, you’re voting against securing America’s border, you’re voting against helping those middle-class families,” said Scalise, highlighting the real-world benefits for hardworking Americans.

Meanwhile, Speaker Johnson said:

“Nothing in Congress is ever easy, especially when you have small margins, but we are going to land this plane and deliver this and we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished together. Every member of the conference can be proud of this legislation in the end. It’s truly [a] nation shaping piece of legislation.”

Democrats unanimously opposed the bill. Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries resorted to typical leftist scare tactics, calling it a “reckless, regressive and reprehensible GOP tax scam.”

Key compromises helped secure passage, including increasing the state and local tax (SALT) deduction cap to $40,000 for incomes up to $500,000. The change brought several blue-state Republicans on board.

Budget hawks were appeased by moving up Medicaid work requirements, ensuring able-bodied adults contribute to society before receiving benefits.

The bill also renamed “MAGA Savings Accounts” to “Trump Accounts,” providing Americans with more options to save for their futures.

“To our friends in the Senate, I would just say, the president is waiting with his pen,” Johnson added.

The legislation now heads to the Senate, where it faces challenges. Still, it benefits from the budget reconciliation process that allows it to bypass Democrat filibuster attempts.

Senate Republican leaders have signaled potential “dials and tweaks” to the tax provisions, but the core MAGA agenda items are expected to remain intact.

Johnson has set an ambitious goal of having the bill on President Trump’s desk by July 4th.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent underscored the urgency of the bill’s passage, warning about the need to raise the debt limit by mid-July to prevent default.

The White House Office of Management and Budget has already expressed support for the legislation, calling it a reflection of shared priorities between Congress and the Trump administration.
