Outlining how radically socialist the Democrat Party is becoming, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has drawn the ire of the GOP with her latest move.
Specifically, the extreme Squad member is fundraising off a radical plan to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The New York socialist Democrat calls the federal immigration enforcement agency “rogue” while actively undermining its operations as President Donald Trump works to restore order.
The progressive congresswoman made her extreme position clear in a recent fundraising email, declaring, “I believe that ICE, an agency that was just formed in 2003 during the Patriot Act era, is a rogue agency that should not exist.”
This blatant call to eliminate America’s immigration enforcement authority comes as the Trump administration intensifies efforts to end the illegal immigration crisis that spiraled out of control under Biden-Harris.
Republican officials swiftly condemned Ocasio-Cortez’s radical agenda. National Republican Congressional Committee Spokesman Mike Marinella said:
“House Democrat Minority Leader AOC is doubling down on their party’s most extreme, unhinged agenda, while the rest of her party is bending their knee to the radical wing. At this rate, the Democrat platform in 2026 will be a fever dream of defunding the police, wide open borders, and far-left hellscapes.”
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials pointed out the dangerous real-world consequences of AOC’s anti-ICE rhetoric.
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin revealed that the congresswoman’s relentless attacks have resulted in ICE officers facing a shocking increase in assaults while performing their duties to protect American communities.
McLaughlin stressed:
“Pathetic, yet predictable from AOC. This kind of demonization of ICE officers has led to our officers facing a 413% increase in assaults. While bottom-barrel politicians like AOC fight to protect criminal illegal aliens, our ICE officers will continue putting their lives and safety on the line to arrest murderers, kidnappers, and pedophiles that were let into our country by the Biden Administration’s open border policies.”
Not content with merely calling for ICE’s abolition, Ocasio-Cortez has actively worked to obstruct immigration enforcement.
Reports indicate she has instructed her constituents on tactics to impede ICE arrests, interfering with lawful federal operations.
This behavior has raised concerns about a possible Department of Justice investigation into her actions.
The White House has also pushed back against AOC’s dangerous position. Spokeswoman Abigail Jackson questioned why the congresswoman wants to abolish an agency specifically created to protect American citizens from criminal aliens and terrorist threats.
As President Trump implements his promised immigration enforcement strategies, the stark difference between his America-first approach and the radical left’s anti-enforcement agenda becomes increasingly clear.
