ICE Conducts Mass Arrests Over Memorial Day Weekend!

The word ICE over a dollar bill background

Illegal immigrants with criminal pasts are quaking in their boots after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers swept through seven American cities over Memorial Day weekend.

The nationwide operation targeted dangerous criminals who were living across the nation and had histories of violent crimes, sexual assault, and gang affiliations.

ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) division carried out the arrests, which targeted individuals in Boston, Denver, Houston, Newark, New York City, Salt Lake City, and San Francisco.

The operation revealed the shocking criminal backgrounds of those illegally present in the country.

In Boston, agents apprehended Kevin Estuarde Hernandez, an 18-year-old Guatemalan national and suspected member of the notorious 18th Street gang.

Hernandez was involved in a gang-related shooting before his arrest by federal authorities.

In Denver, officers arrested Jose Antonio Deras, a 45-year-old Salvadoran with multiple traffic convictions who now faces felony sexual assault charges.

Houston agents captured Misael Delgado-Carlos, a 35-year-old Mexican national previously deported who illegally re-entered the country after being convicted of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The arrests underscore the consequences of the Democrat-created crisis at the southern border, where dangerous criminals exploited America’s previous lax immigration enforcement.

32-year-old Eduardo Sanchez-Hernandez was arrested in Newark and is facing charges for sexual assault of a minor.

Meanwhile, New York City agents apprehended Litzy Janel Saavedra, a 26-year-old Mexican national convicted of third-degree felony rape in 2022.

Salt Lake City agents arrested Jose Barrios-Bello, a 35-year-old Mexican national with a conviction for methamphetamine distribution who had previously been removed from the country.

Perhaps most disturbing was the arrest of Carlos Torres Valdovinos in San Francisco, a 46-year-old Mexican national convicted of oral copulation of a child.

Unlike the other arrested illegals who will remain in custody pending removal proceedings, Torres Valdovinos was immediately deported to Mexico.

The timing of these arrests, which occurred during a weekend when Americans honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the nation, highlights the ongoing threat illegal immigration poses to communities.

This nationwide operation demonstrates what effective immigration enforcement can accomplish when federal authorities prioritize public safety.

However, it also serves as a stark reminder of how many more dangerous criminals remain at large in communities across America due to sanctuary policies.

The criminals arrested represent just a small fraction of the millions who have entered the country illegally in recent years.

Each arrest underscores the importance of strong border enforcement and the immediate removal of those who commit crimes against American citizens.
