IMPORTANT FOOD RECALL ALERT: Americans, beware! Another massive food recall has been announced after authorities detected a potentially deadly food product.
Specifically, Bornstein Seafoods is recalling tens of thousands of pounds of ready-to-eat shrimp due to the presence of dangerous Listeria contamination.
The Washington-based seafood company has pulled 44,550 pounds of cooked, peeled coldwater shrimp from store shelves after routine testing revealed the presence of listeria bacteria.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released a statement, saying, “The recall was the result of the firm’s routine sampling program and Listeria monocytogenes was detected in an in-process shrimp sample in a food production environment.”
The agency also confirmed that Bornstein Seafoods is no longer distributing the affected products and is investigating the problem.
The contaminated products were distributed throughout California, Oregon, Washington, and even into Canada, with potential nationwide sales putting families across America at risk.
The recalled products include both 1-pound and 5-pound plastic bags marketed under the Bornstein Seafoods brand.

Specific UPC codes and lot numbers have been provided to help consumers identify whether they purchased the potentially deadly seafood.
The timing could not be worse for American families already facing several other recalls across the nation.
Now, consumers who bought seafood must check their freezers and potentially throw away the contaminated food.
Listeria poses a serious threat to vulnerable Americans, including pregnant women, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.
The infection causes fever, headaches, muscle aches, and diarrhea, and can lead to severe complications or death in high-risk individuals.
While the company reports no illnesses so far, the incident highlights the ongoing failure of food safety protocols.
Consumers who purchased the recalled shrimp can return it for a full refund. For questions, patriots can contact the company directly.
