Launching a huge attack against sanctuary policies that shield illegal aliens, President Donald Trump has targeted “the core of the Democrat power center” for deportations.
The directive aims to launch “the single largest mass deportation program in history,” focusing on cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where millions of illegal aliens live.
President Trump instructed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to significantly expand their operations in cities that have long served as safe havens for illegals.
This strategic shift comes after the administration paused raids on farms, hotels, restaurants, and meatpacking plants, acknowledging concerns from these industries about losing their workforce.
The president did not mince words about Democrat-controlled cities.
He described them as “the core of the Democrat power center, where they use Illegal aliens to expand their voter base, cheat in elections, and grow the welfare state, robbing good paying jobs and benefits from hardworking American citizens.”
President Trump’s directive follows increasing civil unrest, with “No Kings” demonstrations erupting across major cities in response to earlier immigration enforcement actions.
The administration has deployed National Guard troops and even U.S. Marines in some locations to maintain order, a move credited with preventing more serious disturbances.
“If we didn’t have the National Guard on call and ready, they would rip Los Angeles apart,” President Trump said.
The new enforcement strategy aligns with the president’s campaign promises and enjoys strong support among his base.
Stephen Miller, a key architect of immigration policies, has indicated a target of 3,000 arrests per day, dramatically increasing from the current average of 650 daily apprehensions.
While doubling down on enforcement in sanctuary cities, the administration has shown flexibility toward industries heavily reliant on immigrant labor.
President Trump recently acknowledged that his “very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them” and promised adjustments to address these concerns.
The president has instructed ICE, DEA, and other federal agencies to “do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.”
He concluded his directive with words of encouragement to federal agents: “you have my unwavering support. Now go, get the job done!”
Sanctuary city officials have vowed to resist these efforts, setting up potential legal battles between federal and local authorities.
However, the administration appears undeterred, viewing the removal of illegal aliens from Democrat strongholds as essential to both national security and election integrity.
As protests continue and tensions rise, President Trump’s immigration enforcement strategy represents a direct challenge to Democrat-run cities that have long defied federal immigration laws.
For many conservatives and Trump supporters, this confrontation is long overdue and represents a crucial step toward restoring law and order across America.
