Dem Senator Trying to BLOCK Trump – Military Cutoff!?

Democrats are doubling down on their efforts to cripple President Donald Trump’s ability to lead America by any means possible.

Specifically, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) has introduced a bill to tie the president’s hands against Iran.

The move would ultimately threaten America’s ability to defend itself and its allies in the Middle East.

The senator introduced legislation that would strip the Commander-in-Chief of crucial military powers just as tensions between Israel and nuclear-aspiring Iran reach a boiling point.

Kaine unveiled a war powers resolution aimed at preventing President Trump from using military force against the terrorist regime without explicit congressional approval.

This move comes after Israel launched a “pre-emptive” strike against Iran amid intelligence suggesting Iran was on the brink of completing a nuclear weapon, which triggered retaliatory strikes and escalating tensions.

The timing of Kaine’s resolution raises serious questions about Democrats’ priorities.

While President Trump has been working to support Israel and maintain regional stability, Democrats appear more concerned with limiting his authority than addressing the Iranian threat.

The resolution would require congressional debate and voting before any military action against Iran, potentially delaying critical national security decisions.

President Trump has already made clear that while the U.S. was not involved in Israel’s strikes, America stands ready to defend itself if threatened.

Iran has raised the stakes by warning it would attack U.S. military bases if America interferes with its actions against Israel, putting American servicemembers at risk.

“It is not in our national security interest to get into a war with Iran unless that war is absolutely necessary to defend the United States,” Kaine stated.

“I am deeply concerned that the recent escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran could quickly pull the United States into another endless conflict,” he added.

Kaine’s resolution faces significant obstacles in the GOP-controlled Congress, where Republican lawmakers recognize the importance of maintaining presidential authority in matters of national security.

This is not Kaine’s first attempt to undermine President Trump’s military authority. He previously led similar efforts following the elimination of Iranian terrorist General Qasem Soleimani.

Meanwhile, radical Senator Bernie Sanders has gone even further, condemning Israel’s defensive actions and claiming they were designed to block U.S.-Iran nuclear deal talks.

Sanders even suggested Israel risks becoming a “rogue state” and a “pariah among nations” for daring to defend itself against a regime that repeatedly threatens its existence.

“The United States must not be dragged into another of Netanyahu’s wars – not militarily or financially,” Sanders said.

“The US Constitution is crystal clear: there can be no offensive use of military force – against Iran or any other country – without an explicit authorisation from Congress,” he continued.

This latest attempt to restrict President Trump’s constitutional authority as Commander-in-Chief comes at a dangerous moment when America’s enemies are watching for signs of weakness.

President Trump has warned Iran that any attack on U.S. targets would be met with severe military retaliation.

The War Powers Resolution of 1973, which Kaine cites as precedent, has long been contested by constitutional scholars who argue it infringes on the president’s inherent powers as Commander-in-Chief.
